Crystals are the new rage with weddings, social events and even corporate meetings. It’s a bit more obvious why they are the rage with weddings; everyone loves “bling” these days. But for the corporate client crystals are not a THEME per say. However, these little light deflectors are a big hit regardless!
For weddings, the Shabby Chic look incorporates crystals and burlap and about anything in-between. They can be hung in multi-level strands from the ceiling for light catchers. This adds to the sparkle without the disco ball look. Adding crystals to a manzanita tree is great for added texture. We are being asked to use them everywhere!
For more of an elegant wedding look, crystals in candelabras, crystal ribbon around everything, votive cups and chandeliers seem to shine. Think Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Our corporate clients are using crystals to carry an idea or message of their meetings. Say for instance, your graphic is an iceberg and your message is “Sometimes it’s not what you see, but what goes on under the surface that makes the impact”. Crystals can pick up the feeling of ICE; they carry light well and add the extra ‘coolness’ to the event.
Ultimately, I don’t see crystals going away for some time. So, what will you do with the bling?
