When guests or attendees are sitting for long amounts of time, it is often difficult to keep their attention. One solution many events and parties are turning to is having interactive entertainment because it is a great way to keep the crowd attentive and vibrant rather than apathetic and sedentary. Interactive entertainment often costs less than traditional entertainment and you can experience major rewards, like ensuring your guests have a good time!
We recently had a client who was looking for a new and different type of entertainment that engaged the highest number of customers as possible. We brought in a “game show” and made the attendees both the contestants and the studio audience, and it worked perfectly! The crowd was involved the whole time and a very large number of the attendees ended up on stage or winning prizes.
The Game Show involved a medley of 5-6 games customized to fit the client. The professional host was vibrant, energizing, and definitely knew how to work a crowd! This Game Show medley succeeded in engaging all attendees and making the entire audience feel valuable and excited to be in attendance!
We’ve listed several types of interactive entertainment elements that might work great for your next event:
Dance Heads
Ever wanted to be a pop star with all of the right dance moves? You can be with Dance Heads! Stand in front of a green screen and have your head placed on a movin’ groovin’ body while a fun tune plays. Guests get really excited about this fun video with spouses, friends, or co-workers and love taking the video home as a souvenir. *Warning: expect long lines.
Casino Night
This is always a popular and favorite option for events. This allows for a leisure ambiance great for socializing.
Life Sized Board Games
Board games are fun, but they’re a blast when they are life sized! This can include Jenga, Chess, Scrabble, and more. Send your guests back in time with their childhood favorites. Keep in mind the number of players allowed.
Laser Archery
Bring outdoor activities inside with this fun form of entertainment. Guests can flex their Robin Hood skills with laser arrows. Best of all you don’t have to hire an EMT to be on call by avoiding having flying sharp projectiles! Other games like this include virtual golf and Wii sports games.
Photo Booths
Photo booths have always been a fan favorite. They offer momentos from the night and create a fun atmosphere. Photo booths are now becoming more customizable with different shapes, logos, and props. For my daughter’s wedding we used the prop wall staged as a home photo wall where guests could behind frames for their picture, people loved it!
Digital Grafitti Walls & Tables
Let guests stretch their creativity with entertaining digital screens that react to infra-red spray cans. Works of art can be enjoyed by all observing and can even be printed or emailed to the artist!
